Former royal butler Paul Burrell has denied a claim by his former bodyguard that he removed and kept an engagement ring from the dead body of Diana, Princess of Wales.

While his mind is currently focused on his girlfriend Chelsy Davy – so much so he’s reputedly delayed visiting Lesotho for his latest charitable work – Prince Harry is reported to be angry at the news that the majority of money raised by his Sentebale charity has been eaten up by costs.

Of the £1.15m raised by the royal charity, just £84,000 has so far gone to those who need it most: the Aids victims in Lesotho.

A former Welsh Secretary has condemned the costs incurred by the ongoing inquest into the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed "a profligate squandering of scarce resources” and described proceedings as "a bit like the theatre of the absurd".
