Lady Louise Windsor Makes A Rare Public Appearance PDF Print E-mail
Written by Joanne Leyland

There's a new royal star on the front page of at least one national newspaper today with a lovely image of the rarely seen Lady Louise Windsor, the two-and-a-half year old daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.

With Mum gently holding her hand, Lady Louise appeared before the gathered media to join her grandmother, the Queen, and other members of the Royal Family on the Hebridean Princess cruise of the Western Isles.

It's interesting that the Daily Telegraph has chosen to feature Lady Louise so prominently on the front page, it having been made clear by both Edward and Sophie that they wish for their daughter to enjoy a private life, away from the cameras.

However, the Telegraph is very much a royalist publication and one has to think that they wouldn't have printed such a photograph (albeit a lovely one) without a nod of approval from the Palace.

Despite the royal desire to keep the spotlight away from Louise, it's inevitable that her royal lineage  means there's a great deal of interest in — and widespread affection for — Lady Louise, not least because of her traumatic entrance into the world.
