The Queen's granddaughter, Zara Phillips,
appears to have raised a few eyebrows with her choice of outfit on what
observers noted was the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist atrocities.
Zara, who opted to wear revealing hot-pant shorts and high-heeled
boots for the BGC , was accompanying her mother, Princess Anne, to a charity event
in London where she mingled with other sports stars including England's new cricket captain, Andrew Flintoff, and Australian spin bowler (and famed womaniser), Shane Warne.
The event helped raise money for many good causes, including the Save The Children Fund, of which the Princess Royal is a very active President.
25-year-old Zara was also accompanied to the event by her longtime boyfriend, World Cup winning rugby player Mike Tindall.
However, these day's it's the star of Zara that's in the accendancy, her having recently become World Champion in her chosen field of equestrianism. It's now thought the young royal is a clear contender to be named BBC Sports Personality of The Year at the annual ceremony which takes place in December.
However, despite her ongoing glory, Zara has revealed that she almost quit three-day eventing just months before her amazing success at the Aachen Games in Germany in August, admitting: "Back in the spring, things were going badly, I was riding badly and I thought about giving up, I was so depressed."
Thankfully, friend and colleague Pippa Funnell a gold medal winning Olympian managed to raise Zara's spirits and the rest, as they say, is history.
