It's been revealed the Duchess of Cornwall carried out the very specific wishes of her late father, Major Bruce Shand, at Monday's memorial service for his life, the family when she appeared wreathed in smiles as she arrived at St. Paul's Church in Knightsbridge with Prince Charles.
According to Camilla's brother, world traveller Mark Shand, he, Camilla and their sister, Annabel Elliott, had been given orders by their war hero father to keep smiling.
Revealing a wonderfully humorous side of the old Major, Mark Shand reveals: "In a file entitled The Grim Reaper, he wrote: "I am ambivalent about a memorial service, but if you all insist, please ensure that there are decent hymns, use of the old prayer book and make it short."
"And most importantly, there are to be absolutely no long faces."
