There seems to be a new game in town: spot the royal. Days after Prince William surprised competitors at a bingo hall in Reading, his younger brother Harry has been indulging in his own night on the town during a break from army training in Wiltshire.

The manager of a West Wiltshire pub has been talking about the unexpected appearance of Prince Harry at The Mill pub in Rode on Thursday evening.

Graham Mehta was shocked when the young royal, accompanied by his ever-present bodyguards, walked through the door with around 28 of his army colleagues for a meal at the start of a long night which saw the Prince indulging in a range of strong alcoholic beverages, including strawberry and vanilla vodka shots.

Having spent over two hours at the pub, where he enjoyed a meal consisting of vegetable soup and baked chicken with lentils, the Prince and his party later ended the night at a Trowbridge nightclub called Just So.

Says Mr Mehta: "He came here for a meal with his mates - we didn't know it was him at first. Our barman thought he was a lookalike - then they called him Harry and the penny dropped. They left a good amount of notes, all with his grandmother's face on them."

"They were all very charming and witty — we'd have them back anytime."

The positive sentiment is shared by the barman of the JB club in nearby Warminster, which also enjoyed Harry's patronage on Thursday.

Says Oliver Clark: "He had one of our Twisties which is a strawberry and vanilla vodka shot. There was a big group of them, and two bodyguards — they seemed very pleasant. Not many people noticed them at first. I didn't recognise him to begin with. He did get charged twice to come in though — one of his friends paid for him and then he paid too."

Harry's five-week army training at Warminster is now believed to have ended, although the town will soon be welcoming another royal prince when William embarks on the very same reconnaissance course as his brother next year.
