Australians Prepares To Say G'Day To Their Little Kingaroo PDF Print E-mail

The jet-setting lifestyle starts early for royals, as Prince Christian of Denmark is about to discover.

In a move which echoes the appearance of baby Prince William in Australia and New Zealand in 1983, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are set to take their son Down Under for a private trip.

The royal visit is due to take place in November, just weeks after Christian — affectionately dubbed 'Kingaroo' by his parents and sections of the media — celebrates his first birthday later this week, on October 15th.

The aim of the trip is to allow the couple to visit former Sydney estate agent Mary's family and friends, some of whom are yet to meet the little Prince.

Therefore, this time at least, we won't be seeing a repeat of the ecstatic scenes of joy which welcomed the royal couple to Australia's shores for their first official visit in February and March 2005.
