While his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York embarks on a promotional tour of America, where she's launched a new range of her own jewellery, Prince Andrew has been playing host to King Abdullah and Queen Rania.
The Jordanian royals have been in London where, as to be expected, they also dropped in on their great friend, Prince Charles, at his London home.
Abdullah and Rania certainly clock up the air miles, regularly moving as they do between their Middle East homeland and America and Europe. Their visit to England comes just days after they enjoyed a highly successful state tour of The Netherlands.
Monday saw the monarch and his glamorous wife visiting not one but two royal homes: St. James's Palace and Clarence House.
Despite Rania having been one of the first foreign royals to officially and very publicly greet the-then Camilla Parker Bowles before the world's press it was during an engagement for the National Osteoporosis Society that Charles, accompanied by Rania, first kissed Camilla in public there was sadly no public sign of the Duchess of Cornwall as her husband laid on a warm welcome for his guests.
But this wasn't only a time for social niceties. At Prince Charles' former home, St. James's Palace, the King and Queen attended the Investment Opportunities in Jordan seminar where they lined up with Prince Andrew and the man many expect to be installed next year as Britain's new Prime Minister following the planned resignation of Tony Blair: the Chancellor of The Exchequer, Gordon Brown.
