Details have just been announced regarding the funeral of the Queen's cousin, royal and fashion photographer, Lord Lichfield. The Earl, who died last week, will be buried shortly after noon (UK time) on Monday in the Lichfield family vault at St. Michael and All Angels Church, close to Shugborough Hall, his ancestral home. Estate Office spokesman Graham Watson says the occasion will be a "low-key, private service for family and very close friends". Since Patrick Lichfield died, aged 66 following a major stroke last Friday morning, it's been claimed by a respected doctor in England that he may have suffered due to the fact he had, as he himself proudly told friends, enjoyed 18 consecutive days shooting in what has been increasingly cold weather in England. It is yet to be announced whether the Queen and other royals will attend the funeral. The Queen and Prince Philip are, however, due to attend Royal Variety Performance at the Wales Millenium Centre in Cardiff on Monday evening. Comment on this article
