It's become a regular sight on the social scene of Europe: the bachelor Prince Albert of Monaco surrounded by a bevy of beautiful women, especially during his regular holidays on the sun-kissed beaches of the South of France.

On this occasion, though, it was all far more formal as the ruler of the money-rich Principality made an appearance as guest of honour at The Children of Frankie Charity Auction and Gala in Monaco.

The event saw Albert meet up with one of his alleged former girlfriends, Tasha de Vasconcellos.

She's just one of a number of supermodels with whom the Prince has been romantically linked. Others include Prince Andrew, Duke of York's most recent squeeze, American Angie Everhart, and (perhaps Albert's most famous supermodel romance) German Claudia Schiffer.

Last night's gala evening, which helped raised significant amounts of money to help sick and disadvantaged children, doesn't look to have incorporated an appearance by the 48-year-old Prince's current girlfriend, the equally glamorous Charlene Witstock.
