The Bookies Close The Book on William & Kate PDF Print E-mail

But back to today's royal romance and the possibility of a marriage between William and his 25-year-old girlfriend.

According to William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams: "It's not a case of if but when."

"We were giving away money by continuing to take bets. When they do get engaged it will cost us a princely sum."

However, there is one uncertainty surrounding the couple: the date of their wedding.

The most popular bet is that of 5-4 for William to make Kate his future Queen Consort in 2008.

If I were Kate, though, I'd be worried: for how often in life do we see a 'certainty' suddenly turn to dust?

Personally I am quite sick of being deluged with predictions and assumptions about this young couple.
Until such time as they are officially engaged, can't we just leave them to get on with it?thumbsup

I'd say the odds of an engagement now are in the bookies favor!!! William has said he will not marry until around the age of 28.
