Former Carry On star Barbara Windsor has praised the Prince of Wales for his "sex appeal" and admitted she has rather a soft spot for the 58-year-old heir to the throne.
The actress, more recently acclaimed for her role in BBC soap Eastenders, was one of a host of famous faces and charity workers invited to Clarence House for a reception promoting the achievements of Age Concern.
The petite blonde bombshell told how she and TV presenters Gloria Hunniford, Tess Daly and Fiona Phillips told the Prince: "We're your blondes for the day."
Recalled the 69-year-old actress of her conversation with the Prince, who was previously married to one of the world's most famous blondes, Diana, Princess of Wales: "He said: 'Yes you've got to have the blondes'."
Continued the actress: "He's got a great sense of humour. He's so attractive. He's got a lot of sex appeal. I've always thought that. Ask my husband. He's the only royal I've got a photo of in my house."
