Concert For Diana 'Under Threat' From Live Earth PDF Print E-mail

Just months ago Prince Charles rubbed shoulders with Al Gore as he was hailed for his green credentials during his and Camilla's royal visit to America.

Now, though, America's ex-Vice President and his associates have reportedly upset Princes William and Harry over the decision to stage the Live Earth series of gigs in the very same week as the Concert For Diana.

Some of the biggest acts in the music industry are set to play in cities across the globe as part of the July 7th event which is being staged to highlight the threat of climate change to the planet.

In what can only be described as an unfortunate clash, the new Wembley Stadium will be staging the London leg of the Live Earth concerts just days after hosting William and Harry's pop concert in honour of their mother on what would have been her 46th birthday on July 1st.

Now, the princes — both of whom are said to be closely involved in the planning of the concert — are apparently concerned at the lack of big names agreeing to perform at their one-off gig.

With the cream of the music industry, including such acts as U2, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wolfmother, Madonna, the Black Eyed Peas and the Foo Fighters, having agreed to perform at Live Earth, the princes' concert is in danger of being overshadowed, with acts apparently preferring to appear at Live Earth.
