A new 10th anniversary 'tribute' book on Diana is
reportedly set to depict the late Princess of Wales as a neurotic and
scheming woman.
The Diana Chronicles, a new book by US-based journalist and society queen Tina Brown, repeats many of the earlier claims about Diana, including the oft-repeated allegation that it was the then Lady Diana Spencer who met up with the Prince of Wales on the Royal Train prior to their wedding.
The Princess's latest biographer alleges that Diana enjoyed not one but two "assignations" with the Prince before the royal wedding in July 1981.
This has always been one of the most controversial stories, it latterly being alleged that the blonde who was spotted leaving the train as it resided in the sidings was, in fact, the married Camilla Parker Bowles.
Although recent authors have accepted that it likely was Camilla aboard the train, Tina Brown is adamant it was Lady Diana.
At the time the Sunday Mirror published this claim on the front page, the future Princess was upset by the allegation, not least because she herself was said to be somewhere else altogether at the time she was on the train.
