There's another sad and some would say
shameful insight into the way the godchildren of Diana, Princess of
Wales have been treated since her death.
All seventeen have been contacted and asked if they would like to attend
William and Harry's July 1st Concert For Diana.
But it's not quite the thoughtful gesture it initially
appears.
Whilst friends of the princes, as well no doubt as many celebrities and corporate figures, will be enjoying free access to the musical celebration of Diana's life, the godchildren about whom Diana cared so much she bequeathed them a quarter of her estate have been asked if they would like to buy a ticket!
But this isn't the first time the children have been badly treated with respect to Diana's legacy.
Following the Princess's death at the age of 36, it was revealed that she'd drawn up a separate letter making clear her devotion to her godchildren in a document drawn up on June 2nd 1993. This was a day after Diana, newly separated from the Prince of Wales, had signed her will.
