He
cancelled a skiing holiday in Klosters so as to be seen doing his part
to help save the world from climate change. Now, the Prince of Wales
has hit upon a unique way of
travelling the globe without relying on fuel-guzzling jets and
limousines.
The man whos famed for his pinstriped suits and Edwardian style cut
an incongruous figure as he donned a string of beads around his neck for a tour
of India, Africa and the Caribbean on Wednesday....all without leaving London.
Prince
Charles was at the Commonwealth Youth Exchange Councils Annual Forum
where he enjoyed the sights and sounds of some of the
countries over which his mother, the Queen, reigns as Head of
The Commonwealth and, in some instances, also rules as Head of State.
The future King met up with youth workers
who'd travelled from towns and cities across Britain to take part in an event which helps
promote the work and enduring significance of the Commonwealth to a new generation.
Famed but also at times mocked for being unafraid to don silly hats on
foreign tours, the 58-year-old Prince was happy to allow Stephanie Headland,
who visited Tuvalu last year, to hang a string of beads around his neck.
