Its been revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Yorks eldest daughter has
surpassed her more senior royal cousin, Prince William, after she attained an A
and two Bs in her A-level results.
The Princess, who celebrated her 19th birthday on August 8th,
has extra special reason to celebrate her achievements.
Wishing to highlight the need to help those in a similar situation to herself,
Beatrice bravely went public with her battles with dyslexia.
The Princess was first diagnosed with the learning disorder, which
causes those afflicted by it to have difficulty recognising and
comprehending the written word, at the age of seven.
Sarah, Duchess of York first revealed the news in 2005, when she spoke
of the difficulties Beatrice had faced throughout her education and
revealed the extent of the level-headed princess's determination to try
to help others through her example, explaining of a conversation she
had with Beatrice before she revealed the news of her dyslexia during a visit to a
London school: "She said, 'Please tell everybody because it's very important."
Continued Sarah, who is also said to suffer a lesser form of dyslexia: "She
loves history - coming from Queen Victoria and her family, she wanted
to learn about history but she couldn't because she couldn't read. She
is such a kind person. She didn't get frustrated."
Prince Andrew and his ex-wife hired a private tutor to coach their
daughter prior to her GCSE exams, all of which she passed with some
distinction, attaining two A*s, two As and five Bs.
Now, the Princess has once again shown just how far she has come, successfully passing her
Advanced level exams with an A in drama and two Bs in film studies and history.
