The Royalist Quiz No. 66: Elizabeth I - The Virgin Queen

Seeing the daily headlines, it's sometimes easy to
believe that society's fascination with the private lives of the royals is a new
phenomena.
But then if this were really the case, Elizabeth I would be known
primarily as Britain's most celebrated and even, in the eyes of many, 'greatest' monarch, rather than in her much debated role as 'The Virgin Queen'.
Marking the anniversary of the birthday of Queen Elizabeth I, here's The Royalist Quiz
No. 66 testing your knowledge of a woman whose life and legacy continues to enchant and intrigue millions worldwide.
Comment: Thank you Joanne! Could finally take the quiz in peace! 6 out of 10.

Comment: Muriel,
Success! I've just spent a couple of hours tracking down what's known as an expandable ad and disabled these. Please appreciate that, being in a different country, I see completely opposite to those which show in other regions so I wasn't aware that this had occurred again, so my apologies.
It will take up to an hour for the expandables to clear from the site but, once they do, you should be able to catch up with the quizzes.
Thanks for the alert again and apologies for not having appreciated that this had happened once more

Thank you, thank you, thank you Joanne! The Tudors and Elizabethan age are my favourite royals after the Windsors. A great quiz.
Joanne and many thanks!
