In a rare interview, Princess Annes son has told of his relief that he and
his fiancée, Autumn Kelly, can enjoy the kind of privacy which isnt afforded
to his cousins, Prince William and Prince Harry and their respective
girlfriends.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, 29-year-old Peter offers a rare insight into how he views his life on the fringes of the Royal
Family.
Although he is a grandson of the Queen and Prince Philip and - until the
birth in December of a second child to Prince Edward and Sophie (the Countess of Wessex) -
at present 10th in line to the throne, Peter lives the majority of his life far from the spotlight which has, at times, threatened to overwhelm and even destroy the private lives of many members of the Royal Family.
Referring to the vast difference in his life to that of his royal cousins,
Peter says: "Autumn and I have not had to endure the pressure William and
Kate put up with."
"We have been left alone and touch wood, I hope it stays that
way."
Peter also admits that his father,
Captain Mark Phillips, also became a little paranoid that he may at one point feared that, having read repeated speculation in the newspapers, nobody had bothered to tell him that his only son was to marry.
