 All week she's been the talk of the Royal message boards, the question on everyone's lips being: where's Kate Middleton?But now it seems that, despite reports in the Press claiming she and boyfriend Prince William would be skiing in Verbier, Switzerland come Boxing Day, the Prince's girlfriend has been spotted in far less exotic climes — in fact, she's been doing much like the rest of us, pushing through the crowds as she went shopping with Mum to the post-Christmas sales. It's yet to be seen whether William and his longtime girlfriend do now manage to enjoy a spot of skiing during what remains of William's holiday — remember, it's little more than a week now until the Prince arrives to start his rigorous training at Sandhurst Military Academy — but on Thursday at least, while her boyfriend was still at Sandringham with other members of the Royal Family, Kate was, according to Friday's Daily Mail, shopping at the Peter Jones store on Chelsea's fashionable King's Road (let's hope she wasn't going through the routine undertaken by so many more women around the world this week — returning a totally unsuitable Christmas present chosen by her man!). By the way, in case you're wondering, the fun headline to this Richard Kay story relates to the fact many photographers have de-camped to the Swiss ski resort over the past week, eagerly expecting to earn themselves a rare shot of William with his girlfriend. It looks as if they may have a very long wait, a fact that would no doubt amuse this rather shy couple.
