Had anyone told the Prince of Wales just five
years ago that he'd spend
his 59th birthday addressing a religious congregation watched by Camilla and a Church of
England Bishop, a huge beaming portrait of himself and his second wife looking down from above, he
may have thought he'd been transported to a different universe.
Yet thats exactly how the future King has spent his big day:
addressing a
congregation at Jesus House Church during a service at which there
could have been no more powerful reminder of how the prince's life and
society in general has changed...
Charles and Camilla have been at the Pentecostal church in Brent Cross to
recognise the contribution made by black churches throughout UK society.
Speaking to the congregation which included his great friend the Bishop of
London who most recently made headline news with his powerful "let it end here" address at the
10th anniversary memorial service for Diana, Princess of Wales the
Prince was watched by not one but two Camillas.
