While the harsh reality is that the public life of the octogenarian Queen and
her husband rarely make front page news in Britain - the couple having been
usurped in the medias eyes by the more glamorous younger royals the royal
visit has dominated the daily press in Uganda.
On Monday, the British public will enjoy the relatively rare
opportunity to gain an insight into the reality of royal life as the
BBC finally begins to broadcast the documentary series Monarchy: The Royal Family At Work (previously titled A Year With The Queen
until the series became embroiled in controversy over the production of
a trailer which wrongly depicted the Queen as having 'stormed out' of a
photo session).
The series begins on BBC One in the UK on Monday, from 8.30pm-10pm.
