We’re
only into the second day of the New Year, but already the gossips are at work
over the love life of the future King.
The New York Daily Post has published an intriguing piece
in which the question is posed: "Which gorgeous daughter of a
foreign-born billionaire had a fling last year with Prince William?"
Continues journalist Richard Johnson in the Page Six column
(again, American readers can tell us Brits if this is a reliable
publication): "While their families don’t get along, and she could never
marry the future King of England, the hookup between their clans was not
unprecedented."
2007 was, of course, the year in which William temporarily split with his
long-term girlfriend, Kate Middleton.
While he only carried out 16 official engagements, the 25-year-old prince was
a high profile figure due to the summer of commemorations marking
the 10th anniversary of the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of
Wales, and her boyfriend, Dodi Al Fayed.
