Diana Inquest: Parents Insist Henri Paul Was Not Drunk

The
parents of Henri Paul have told the High Court inquest into the deaths of
Diana, Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed that the French authorities refused to
allow their requests that independent blood samples be taken from their dead son.
Giving evidence via video link from Paris, Jean and Giselle Paul also insisted
that their son was not drunk when he took the wheel of the Mercedes in which he
drove himself, the princess and her boyfriend to their deaths on August 31st
1997.
The couple were also equally adamant that Henri Paul was not on the payroll of
the secret services, as suggested by his boss, Mohamed Al Fayed.
Although his parents say they didn't often speak about money with their son, the couple explained away the large amounts discovered in several bank accounts after Paul's death as being the collective result of often large tips he received from patrons of the Ritz Hotel.
Comment: While I can understand the torment Henri Paul's parents must feel, the drinks (plural!) he had at The Ritz cannot be disputed. As for the tips, not many people get tips worthy of a bank deposit. Wasn't it a rather large amount?

Comment: All parents say that. They were not there that night; how can they possibly have anything concrete to say? This is silly. If everybody is going to testify, I have my theories and will be happy to have my expenses paid to London to testify even though, like Henri Paul's parents, I was in bed asleep at the time.
