First Editions: It's G'Day From William & A "Bubbly Blonde" PDF Print E-mail

It’s rock royalty rather than bona fide royalty which features across most of the tabloids this Saturday morning as speculation rages over a possible out-of-court settlement between Sir Paul McCartney and his estranged wife, Heather Mills.

Funnily enough, it's only (?!?!) £10 million according to the Daily Mail or £55m if you read the Daily Mirror.......but what's a £45m discrepancy between newspapers?

However, it's Prince William who features prominently on the front page of one newspaper.

Thankfully it would appear William's not been deterred from posing with people outside his own circle following previous instances when snapshots such as this have got him into a little hot water.

The Daily Express features a photograph of a smiling William posing for a picture with a female fan (it being just gone midnight here in the UK we'll have to wait for the paper to hit the streets to discover more details as to where the prince was when the photo was taken).

As you can just about see, the headline reads: 'William's fun night with a bubbly blonde from Oz'.

Am I allowed to ask: why are these women always deemed to be 'bubbly'? And am I the only one wondering if the front page image has been cropped to show the prince with the blonde alone - is that a third person out of view on the left of the picture who would have otherwise endangered the "bubbly blonde" slant which has been put on this story?

At least we (and Kate Middleton too) can be assured that this time around William's hand hasn't slipped anywhere it shouldn't.......

as interesting and entertaining these pictures are, they are almost 3 years old. Its good to see William is not the stuffy utter bore he's been shown to be since last year, but its no big deal either.

Too bad we have no pictures of William with a girlfriend having this much fun.

Gosh, this is silly. It's as if William needed publicity. I don't know of any CEO that "needs" publicity. He is being ushered into the job of being CEO for the Royal Estate. From the looks of the job, I'd have to say, it looks rather dull to me because the area-of-freedom and the opportunities for free expression are very small, scant and infrequent. Maybe I'm just jealous. : )

The aussie people love Princess Mary I know it will never happen but if william ever married a aussie it would send the Republican movement back years in this country.

We can't blame the media if we make a fuss over the photos when they appear. As long as William + blonde sells papers, William will be photographed with blonds.

I believe these pictures were taken at Tom Parker Bowles' wedding in 2005. I suppose we can't blame the media for trying to get William and/or Kate on the front pages any way they can. Apparently carbon footprints don't quite cut it. laughing-smiley

Joanne, you are correct. In the Daily Mail it's clear a third person was cropped out to make the picture more sensational. It looks like she could be this woman's 13(?) year old sister! But I suppose that would make the night less "bubbly!" blue-smiley
