The First Editions: Harry & Chelsy Back In The Spotlight

Although there's always the chance the second editions could offer up a late-night shocker, the only other front page which currently houses any reference to the royals is the Daily Express.
It
returns to its favourite subject of Diana, the headline here apparently
bringing yet more misery to the door of the late princess's butler,
Paul Burrell: 'Now fugitive Burrell faces 10 years in jail'.
Although it's too early to say to what this story actually refers, it's
possible (although again not definitely the case....we'll have to wait
to read more in the hours ahead) that it relates to the recent
emergence of the video tape showing Burrell allegedly admitting to
having committed perjury at the Diana inquest.
As with news outlets across the globe -
apparently beginning with the US gossip rag the National Enquirer - the
Express also features the tragic news (now confirmed in the past hour)
that the 55-year-old star of Dirty Dancing and many more Hollywood movies, Patrick Swayze, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
I actually agree with you completely on this (as I hope you may have seen a number of times on here these past two years).
If there's going to be criticism of Harry then there should always be equal criticism of William...the only difference is the latter appeared better trained in hiding any discrepancies.
As Princess Margaret said (and certainly discovered for herself) - the mainstream media always have one 'good' royal and one 'bad'. Princess Elizabeth (like William today) was the former; Margaret (like Harry until his military service....we await to see what happens next) has been depicted as the 'bad'.

Comment: Harry has a problem with drinking but when William is photographed falling out of club what do you call him? I personally think Harry and Chelsy makes a beautiful couple and hope in the future they marry.

Comment: M-M, I agree with you about THIS particular situation.
Exploora, I agree about her never smiling. It is so easy to do and it looks a lot more attractive. IMO, she looks like Posh. Lol!

Comment: Every other soldier is welcomed back by his best girl, close friends, and a drink at the local pub, but not poor Harry. Instead of immersing himself in prayer and contemplation, and, perhaps, joining a monastery, Harry chose to do what every other young man in his position haas done and is criticized for it. Although I know that Harry has been photographed lifting maybe one too many at the local, I do not know with any certainty that he is the raging alcoholic the press and an increasingly critical public seems to thing he is. Too many people think the military, and war, is some sort of behavior modification program geared, in part, to rescue young lads in trouble. Having served effectively, even for a short time, should have illustrated that Harry is not the befuddled drunk the tabs make him out to be. But, instead, the national scolds are out in force. The more things, change, the more they stay this same.

Comment: I don't think anyone can blame Harry for spending some time with Chelsy. But it's what he does now that is important. Will he do something meaningful with his life or return to the party lifestyle?

Comment: Harrys alcohol abuse and partying will not have been changed by him going to Afghanistan which in my opinion was the idea behind sending him. Anyone who know anything about abuse knows that its Harry that has to do it and if he is surrounding himself with the same people and situations nothing has changed and he will probably get worse.

Comment: This time Harry can be absolved - he and Chelsy attended the 42nd birthday of Mark Dyer at his own flat from 11pm to 4 am .
Neither of the couple appeared drunk , and since the reporters were waiting outside they were able to hear a fine rendition of 'Happy Birthday '
