They’re two of the most famous soldiers in the world. Now, Prince William and Prince Harry are to promote the often unsung work of all those who serve Queen and Country by becoming Joint Patrons of a new organisation titled the City Salute Appeal. "As well as raising money for vital rehabilitation facilities, City Salute is an opportunity for us all to celebrate the fantastic contribution made by our servicemen and women and their families." "It is also a chance to pay tribute to the casualty evacuation and medical staff of all three Services who protect and care for the wounded so brilliantly and with such tireless dedication." Recalling his experience of the harsh realities of life on the front line, the prince went out of his way to highlight the bravery of the soldiers whose service doesn't always make headline news and, at times, results in life-threatening injuries or death. You can read full details of the City Salute Appeal at the official website which has been launched today. Comment on this article
