However, they may be wishing they were anywhere but Windsor if a Sunday Times headline comes to fruition... As you can see, just two weeks after reporting the Queen's alleged anger about a policy pertaining to the pledge of allegiance, the Mail has another exclusive story linking politics and the palace. When the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last November, it was widely reported that the couple would enjoy a belated Diamond anniversary party at The Ritz. It was here that the Royal Family and the Queen's closest friends gathered for an equally belated 80th birthday party for Her Majesty more than six months after the landmark birthday of April 2006.
