As eluded to in the introduction to this article, the royals may be wishing they were back in London rather than Windsor if another government plan goes through.

A Sunday Times front page story reads: 'Heathrow expansion will deafen the Queen'.




Obviously, this refers to the fact that any expansion of the world famous airport would impact on the region around  Windsor Castle.

It reminds me of the story of tour guides at Windsor who report that one question is especially popular with foreign tourists: 'Why was Windsor Castle built on the flight path?'

You really would have thought William The Conqueror and his comrades would have thought of that, wouldn't you?!




Perhaps the Queen and Prince Philip should stay as far away from airports as they possibly can.

Just two weeks after the grand royal opening of Heathrow's T5 terminal, it is chaos which quite literally reigns.....
