Page 2 of 2 In July 2006, there was widespread media speculation about the stage of the marriage of Charles and Camilla after the prince continued his duties as normal while his wife mourned the death of her octogenarian father, Major Bruce Shand. It was rumoured then that the prince who is known to suffer "gnashes" (i.e. periods of intense rage) which afflicted his grandfather, King George VI, had become so frustrated during one heated exchange with Camilla that hed kicked and smashed a vase at Highgrove. The event will possibly herald more speculation about the state of another union, the Mail also reporting today that a notable absentee will be Kate Middleton.
