How does the old saying goes...something about 'my enemy's enemy is my friend'?
We can assume that a similar diktat continues to be in play when it comes to The Sun
newspaper's treatment of Paul Burrell - a figure who is very definitely
a friend of the Murdoch paper's biggest rival and therefore a seemingly eternal enemy of
Britain's biggest selling daily.
The former butler to Diana, Princess of Wales having originally sold his post-trial story to the Daily Mirror
for a fraction of the price offered by their biggest rivals,
Burrell continues to be kicked every time he is increasingly down by
those who were likely at the front of the queue when Diana's 'rock' first
knocked on Fleet Street's door back in November 2002.
Although
it's wrong to second guess the complex legal system, I think we can
assume that we won't see any proceedings taken against the former aide
whose Old Bailey trial (and his ongoing tribulations) have already
produced so many sensational headlines, many of which made for
uncomfortable reading in the highest echelons of British society.
Comment: I cant help but feel some respect for Fayad whether what he believed was right or wrong he defended and stood up for his son and spoke out. I find it bizarre the denial and silent that the Royals find necessary in everything they do and unfortunately William and Harry have been brought up in this manner.
Name: Jean Sue Libkind
Comment: Fayad thinks God will do Fayed's justice ???? What arrogance! God makes His/Her own decisions.
Name: Emily Elizabeth Windsor-Cragg
Comment: The matter is now in God's hands. What was true is what is true.
