This weekend's TV interview with Sir John Stevens hasn't even been broadcast yet, but already the newspapers are talking up the comments by the former Metropolitan Police Chief that his investigation into the death of Diana is more "complex" than he expected.Saturday's Daily Telegraph and Daily Express both have the Diana story on the front page, the Express leading with the claim that the inquiry has uncovered new witnesses to the crash. Lord Stephens is quoted as saying in Sunday's GMTV interview: ""It is right to say that some of the issues that have been raised by Mr Fayed have been right to be raised. We are pursing those. It is a far more complex inquiry than any of us thought." Whilst we're continually told that the investigation is moving ahead and is exhaustive, what we're yet to discover for sure is exactly when the full report will be ready for public release. Only then will people be able to judge for themselves whether the multi-million pounds investigation really has been as "complex" as the respected ex-Police Chief claims. Comment on this article
