The First Editions: Kate Middleton - From Willem To William?

Some of the front pages of the Sunday papers here in Britain
are in and, so far at least, it’s a non-royal in Kate Middleton who’s made the headlines...
The Mail on Sunday leads with an interesting headline reading: 'Kate and the spy who loved her'.
You're intrigued, aren't you so, ok then, here's the link so you can all just go and leave me behind while I get yet more of that boring thing called sleep.
Basically, the story refers to the fact Kate was spotted leaving Boujis
in the early hours of Thursday morning with 26-year-old Willem Marx, a friend who the paper
declares to have been the first love of Prince William's longtime
girlfriend.
Can I admit that I initially couldn't tell if that was Prince William she was actually next to in the
back of the car and also ask: is it just me, or do a lot of these men in the royal circle tend
to look alike?
Although the News of the World usually throws up at least one royal
shocker, so
far at least it appears the rest of Fleet Street is currently looking
towards
the latest political turmoil in Britain for its headlines, with claims
that the 10-month Premiership of Gordon Brown may come under challenge
from within his own party due to Labour's dismal performance in this
week's elections.
See, it's not really been a busy royal week has it.....we’ve just had Prince
William going to Afghanistan, the start of Badminton Horse Trials, the
conviction with a five-year jail sentence of the two men accused of
blackmailing a junior royal, the royals out and about on engagements.
Can you sense me squirming in my seat here before asking, erm.....can we just
forget the past four days ever happened and start all over again?!
Comment: You hit on a good point they all look the same, like the celebritiies I dont know if its the botox or what but they dont seem to have any character in their faces laugh lines worry lines just everyday expressions. I find Kate quite characterless she just doesnt seem to have an identity like a doll her face is always the same.. I find Chelsey with more character and expressions on her face. Wonder if they wear high boots with their pj's

Comment: Monica I would suspect Di was very photogenic and possibly did some posing. We do know, to a degree, Di hated being photographed when off guard.
I realized I opened up a can of worms, but I do think they all share similar characteristics: they are usually blond (accept Kate of course, (at this point in time))and smile a lot and possibly enjoyed shared housekeeping, which of course covers a wide spectrum of space where many worms have ample movement to do their crawling.

Comment: Exploora, since Joanne is recuperating, I will not delve into the can of worms you mentioned in the last paragraph of your last comment. (Is that relief I hear?) But seriously, do you think Diana 'posed', or was she just extremely photogenic, regardless of the circumstances? I think she dressed and carried herself with confidence and the camera loved it. (I believe Kate Middleton shares this trait.) Gosh, if knowing how to pose is/was the only difference here, I think modeling agencies around the world would be in for a stampede.

Comment: ha ha it is just like the way were, going back and forth about Di and Camilla. And now I feel really bad bringing it up, considering how sick Joanne must have been, we really should be on our best behaviour now and for ever more.

Comment: maybe it was just the hair, I mean if you glance, not study the pic, a lot of these people look the same, and I might not even recognize them in real life.
Actually I think Camilla in her (hay day), was very nice looking. There are still some nice pictures of her, I don't think she really was taught to pose like a model the way Di appears to be able to do.
There must be something about Camilla which appeared to led to Charles risking his marriage to Di. Sometimes it is not just about looks.

Comment: Gracious, Monika!! Camilla's son has to be one of The most unattractive men I have seen but then, well, Camilla is...Oh well. Best I leave it at that!

Comment: Exploora, my friend, what do you have against Sophie all of a sudden? IMHO, Camilla (in her younger days) looked just like her son does today. He has his mother's face.

Comment: I don't think it is just you, Joanne. I find that with Chelsy, sometimes I get her mixed up with her friends cause at times they look a lot like her, in my opinion. And Sophie in some ways looks like Di, and in some ways pictures of a younger Camilla can look like Sophie.
And Peter Philips I find looks a lot like Wills but with darker hair, and Peter appears to look a lot like Andrew, and at times Wills even looks like Prince Edward.
It is the hair which appears to be the identifying characteristic, and when it goes it might even be more confusing.
Only Royal that doesn't seem to look like all the rest is Prince Harry, in my opinion.

Comment: Oh my God. What's next? Camilla photographed in the company of Andrew Parker-Bowles? Oops, it's been done.
