It's Game, Set & Match For Wii-lliam In Wales (Updated) PDF Print E-mail

Whilst it’s been some years since Prince William attended the Wimbledon tennis championship, sitting in the royal box with his mother Diana, the 25-year-old prince showed he’s just as keen on the sport as he ever was....not that his opponent ever had much chance of attaining victory over the tennis fan who enjoyed lessons from none other than Steffi Graf.

The future king who as a child warned his school colleagues that he’d get his father to lock them up today joked with his virtual tennis opponent: "You know you are not allowed to beat me".

Having slumped to defeat to the sports mad prince, 18-year-old Martyn James told onlookers: "I was stitched up".

It was a successful day all around for William.

The balding young royal who was long ago usurped in the pin-up stakes by younger brother Prince Harry was treated to a pop star’s welcome as he arrived on his third official public engagement this week.

Excited onlookers were heard shouting "he’s coming" before shrieks of "William, William" penetrated the air.

Forget William joining the Royal Navy.......perhaps we Brits could at last have found our very own Wimbledon champion this summer.

Meanwhile today, the prince broke his silence about his controversial use of army Chinook helicopters.

Chatting with a pensioner during his visit to South Wales, William mentioned how he'd been "accused of wasting money" by what he referred to as "joyriding" in military aircraft.

Responding publicly for the first time to the recent controversy, the newly graduated Flying Officer Wales explained how he needed to clock up the necessary air miles as part of his four-month attachment with the Royal Air Force.

I couldnt believe it when I seen the chinooks during the armed forces ceremonies they are big, loud and I imagine the air movement from the propellors must be really forceful how did he ever land in the places he did.
God only knows what he will do with a ship in the Navy maybe we will see him and Kate sunbathing on the deck as they sail by Cams might be with them as she likes cruises.

Joanne, I am sure your neigbours are just jealous.

I can't imagine that they have a backyard big enough for a Chinook helicopter to land in safely, like you do.
