Sundays
usually herald the sight of the Wales princes enjoying a few chukkas on the
polo field. This morning, though, Prince Harry has been taking part in an event
which is becomingly an increasingly common sight involving the third-in-line to the throne: a military march past.
The 23-year-old prince has joined members of his regiment of the Blues and
Royals at the Household Cavalry Memorial Parade.
Less than a week after he stood before his aunt, the Princess Royal (Anne), ahead
of a parade through the streets of Windsor, Prince Harry was
today marching before his father, the Prince of Wales, who took the salute in London's Hyde Park.
This is the third time in less than a week that Harry was appeared at a military parade. As extensively featured here, last Wednesday he joined his older brother Prince William and thousands of onlookers at the City Salute in London.
Meanwhile, it's been revealed today that Prince Harry and his
girlfriend Chelsy Davy were caught up in a security alert last week which allegedly
resulted in the strong-willed prince receiving a telling off from his
police protection.
The
couple were travelling together in Harry's Audi A3 down the M4 motorway
when the area was sealed off due to the presence of a man who was
threatening to jump from a bridge. He was finally talked down, but not
before travellers were delayed by an hour as a security cordon was
thrown around the area and, in particular, the prince's car.
According to an insider: "The bodyguards had no idea what was going on. One minute it was fine, the next they were separated from the prince. The motorway was full of cars going nowhere. Its their job to think the worst."
Prince
Harry is reported to have angered his Royalty Protection Squad officers
by refusing to allow them to continue the broken journey in the same
car as himself and Chelsy.
Comment: I think Harry and William are fighting the fact that they will not be able to live so called normally that is a reality of the life they were born into. I think this will increasingly become a problem and affect their relationships as Chelsey and Kate have not been brought up in the sheltered life royalty has.

Comment: LOL!! Exploora, I'm trying to picture you using that bottle of pop...
As for Harry and Chelsy...protection is a necessary evil and, after what happened to Diana, I'm surprised this is even an issue.

Comment: I think, and this is only a guess, based on what I read about Chelsy not wanting armed guarding in a recent article on another site, and I have no idea whether it is true or not, but I think this is a very dangerous trend, of course I always thought that the alleged Facebook situation was dangerous too.
There is something about that girl that does not add up. And it is possibly nothing to do with anything, except the summation of two inexperienced high spirited young adults wanting to live independently, which on its own merit is very healthy, but duh, reality at times can rudely reminds us how small and vulnerable we are in a post 911 and 77 world especially when one is third in line to the a throne which is technically at war and one has just come back from serving one's country in that war.
Another example of the world we live in can be found in our local store which been displaying the female hygiene products on the highest shelf in the isle for years, possibly to avoid embarrassing questions children may ask their parents about the products. So a person who is short either has to ask for help to retrieve a box or two, and this help has to be asked for once a month, or go to another store, or use a bottle of pop to retrieve the item. Of course the third option may lead to more than one box falling on one's head, instigating a stream of people who offer to help retrieving the item out of pity.
Of course another option is to complain or beg an external power to place the products where people over 4ft 10 can reach them.
Of course the external force may respond to the request as a customer wanting a special accommodation.
My point being, when something you need is out of reach, all the options are compromises when adjustment for inclusion for someone who does not fit the norm is not an option.
And of course being normal,ok average, is the answer, a very simple answer, but not reality is it?
If I could have thought of a better example I would have.

Comment: Yes! It's nice to see Charles doing an engagement with one of his sons. I wish he would put more emphasis on THEIR roles and less elsewhere.
Of all people, Harry should know better than not to follow the advice of protection officers.
