The Daily Telegraph also chooses to go big on
Chelsy Davy with a large photograph of Prince Harry's girlfriend dominating the front page.
The headline says it all: 'Chelsy to meet the Queen'.
While
the wedding of the eleventh in line to the throne will invariably
receive significant media coverage this weekend, the event is clashing
with one which is likely to dominate the minds of millions more of the
Queen's subjects.
The rest of Saturday's newspapers prefer to give over much of their
front pages to the impending FA Cup Final, which - no doubt due to the
irritation of many photographers rostered to spend their day at
Windsor! - is due to take place at the same time as the royal nuptials.
While there's been talk of the prince jetting off on holiday, could
it be that this is the unspecified engagement which means the second-in-line to the throne (a.k.a. The President of the Football Association) will miss
the wedding of his first cousin as he returns to Wembley Stadium to
present the FA Cup trophy to the victorious team....possibly a Welsh
one at that?
Comment: Congratulations to Chelsy for sensibly getting on with her post-grad law degree - she seems quite hard working and determined to finish it . I'm glad she is getting a better deal from the press lately , she has been very much their victim in the recent past for Chelsy

Comment: Caroline, I read it and I thought it was quite a 'story.' IMO, it was only intended to stir the pot.

Comment: Colleen: It isn't the dignity of the royal family that is ebbing away; it is any dignity in the tabloids...and they have little to lose.
I am certain the Windsors know exactly to whom to pay attention to at a wedding: the bride. Historically, even the Queen takes second place on the Big Day.

Comment: Did anyone read the article in the Daily Mail about Kate and Chelsy,it was very kind to Chelsy but realy scathing and critical of kate Middleton.I hope Kate does not read before she goes to Peter Philips wedding because it will not make her day.

Comment: I could be mean spirited and say, I wish they would all elope and save a tree, but I won't.

Comment: I think Autumn is probably happy the attention is focused on Kate and Chelsey as she can focus on her husband and wedding day and not have to worry so much about the paparazzi, Have to say I feel the dignity and tradidtions of the Royal family is falling apart .

Comment: Lol! I hope the bride has a good sense of humor regarding the attention focused on Kate and Chelsy. I think this is a first for a royal wedding...
