He may be one of the richest men in Britain but today even the Prince of Wales had his eyes firmly focused on the Bank of England.

Not that Prince Charles had joined many of his future subjects in fearing for his finances amidst the ongoing economic crisis.

The prince was instead transfixed by the artwork of the winner of an architectural drawing competition.

Fergus Devlin Connolly picked up the prize for the Georgian Group Architectural Drawing competition for his intricate depiction of the wall of the Bank of England.

During his appearance at the prize-giving event at The Ritz in London, the prince received his own piece of art work, one which will likely go on display inside the latest addition to his impressive property portfolio.

Much to Charles’ delight, Ceri Leader has produced a painting of the Llwynywermod Estate, the prince’s new Welsh home.
