Is Princess Mary Pregnant? PDF Print E-mail

Note to female royals: don’t ever place your hand on your stomach.

Why?

Because a simple act as this is in danger of prompting rumours that one is pregnant!

The sight of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark placing what's been described as a "protective hand" on her stomach has sparked rumours that the future queen is expecting a third child with her husband, Crown Prince Frederik.

Not that this is the only hint of pregnancy.

The Princess, who is already the proud mother of three-year-old Prince Christian and 17-month-old Princess Isabella, is also said to be avoiding alcohol.

This has already been a happy and successful year for the former estate agent whose life was transformed when she met Queen Margrethe’s eldest son at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

A Danish magazine recently declared Mary to be Woman of The Year.

Having announced that she would give the accompanying prize money to charity, the princess said of her new title: "I have been on a challenging and exciting journey since becoming princess four years ago, and having my charity work recognised warms my heart."

Local media speculation about a new royal baby in Denmark comes as Mary's husband returns home following a morale-boosting visit to Danish troops in Afghanistan.

Crown Prince Frederik joined Danish Defence Minister Soeren Gade for a three-day visit to southern Helmand province.

The 40-year-old prince later posed for photographs with a small contingent of the 700 Danish troops who are serving in the Nato force in Afghanistan.
