Incorporating warm memories of his childhood, Prince Charles has just spoken on television throughout Britain about his "darling Mama".![]() The Prince, who is pictured today with youngest son Harry on an engagement in Glasgow, has offered the world a very rare insight into life as the son and heir of a monarch, speaking about his mother's devotion to duty and his very personal memories of Coronation Day. The man who will be King also made an interesting comparison between the Queen and his sons, making the point that Elizabeth was the same age when she acceded to the throne as his sons are now. This may come back to haunt Charles if people continue to call for William to succeed the Queen instead of him as it has often been argued by royal courtiers that, even now, William is still 'too young' to reign. ![]() If you're a subscriber to The Royalist, make sure you are signed in and then click the play button below to hear the full five-minute speech, possibly one of the most personal and remarkable ever made by a future King. And as always, please do let us know your thoughts about today's celebrations. Comment on this article
