Location: The Tower of London Date: Saturday 20th May 2006 Legend has it that if the Ravens leave the Tower of London, the monarchy will fall. Well....lets hope the birds didn't flee on Saturday night when the music started blaring as the historic Tower was overtaken by some of the biggest names in the music industry for a concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Prince's Trust. It's estimated the three-and-a-half hour concert helped raise around £3 million for the charity. Amongst the acts entertaining Charles, Camilla, William and Harry and a crowd of 2,000 were Ozzy Osbourne, Will Young, Lionel Richie, Pink and The Sugababes. Camilla, wearing a rather dramatic, Indian-style outfit with a low-cut top, arrives for the pop concert. Princes Charles, William who spotted the photographer and Harry arrive in the Royal Box moments before the start of the concert. William and Harry were clearly enjoying the pop concert. The royal brothers are huge music fans, although William, who loves hip hop, jokes that he has a better taste in music than little brother Harry. Camilla laughs as Charles gets into the spirit of the pop concert and joins the rest of the crowd in waving his glo-stick as night falls over the Tower of London. At the end of the concert, the Prince of Wales, accompanied by his wife and sons, took to the stage to thank all those involved in the event, as well as paying tribute to the people who've made The Prince's Trust such a success over the past three decades. If you are a subscriber, you can hear Charles's full speech here (please remember to sign in first). Prince Harry standing with TV presenter Cat Deeley who co-hosted the event with Ant and Dec. William, Harry and Camilla laughed in all the right places throughout what was a very good and heartfelt speech by the Prince of Wales. You can just see the headlines and the caption competitions, can't you: 'Future King holds hands with man in dress!'But not to worry, the Prince was simply meeting up again with a favourite royal entertainer, Australian comedian Barry Humphries as his alter ego, 'megastar' Dame Edna Everage.
