Sarah Speaks About Her Royal Return PDF Print E-mail
Written by Joanne Leyland

Sarah, Duchess of York officially returned to the royal fold yesterday for the first time in 14 years.

Unfortunately, less than 24 hours later she's been on a TV show in Britain talking about it!

Sarah, Duchess of York was invited to attend the Order of The Garter service by the Queen following a concerted campaign of reconciliation between the royals and Sarah by the Yorks' eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice.

Wearing a wedgwood blue suit with what appeared to be a rather strange shaped skirt, Sarah lined up with other members of the family at the exit of St. George's Chapel, laughing alongside Beatrice, who will celebrate her 18th birthday in August with another family reunion, 16-year-old Eugenie and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex.

Also in attendance was a very smartly dressed Duchess of Cornwall. This was Camilla's first official public appearance since the death of her father over a week ago, following which it is reported she was "too devastated" to undertake her duties, understandably wishing to take compassionate leave for a few days.

The until now officially exiled Duchess of York witnessed a historic occasion when the Queen invested her sons, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex as Knights of the Garter in recognition of their service to the nation. Their siblings, the Prince of Wales, and the Princess Royal were awarded this prestigious honour some years ago.
