Finally....a public display of affection between Prince William and his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton.
Pop over to The Sun to see some fun pictures of the Prince and Kate at a fancy dress party, where William appears to be doing his best impression of Dalllas baddie J.R. Ewing.
The couple were guests at a cowboys and indians-themed bash at the weekend, where as you can see at The Sun, Kate appeared in a Pocahontas-style head dress.
The two are pictured (with their backs to camera) hugging, Kate apparently laughing when the good humoured Prince greeted other guests with a jovial: "Howdy pardners". Says a fellow guest at the party in Batcome, Somerset: "The Prince spent all night talking like John Wayne. He was the life and soul."

Comment: Four years? Yes, that's been reported. It's also been reported that he's been with several other girls during the same period. That Will&Kate and have been an off again/on again sort of relationship. With her taking him back despite his treatment of her. And there have been enough reports of him ignorning her at various gatherings for me to believe them.

Comment: Just because there isn't a photo of him putting his arm around her, it doesn't mean he doesn't love her. He's been with her for four years.

Comment: Trudie, Charles did not love Diana and was incapable of showing affection. Whatever love means. I guess William is not in love with Kate either. I think he is comfortable with her and she is useful. It would be hard for him to date around and not be hounded about every lady he dates. I am not saying he does not care for Kate, but I am not convinced that he will Marry this girl. I think he has yet to meet his bride. We shall see.

Comment: There's no doubt William adores Kate. He takes her everywhere with him and looks after her. They are charming together and will no doubt marry soon inspite of his throw away lines to the press about being 28. Besides, it won't be long till he's 30 when you think about it. Time flies. They've been together almost as long as Edward and Sophie before they undemonstratively wed.

Comment: Carol Johnson The relationship may seem odd but if you look at it from a royal prospestive if he shows affection in public the media have them engaged and a frenzy ensues if he does not then there is something wrong. How many times during their courtship did one see Charles and Diana kiss or for that matter Edward and Sophie? even when they married Edward and Sophie did not kiss after being pronounced man and wife it seems that this is just the royal way.

Comment: Their relationship is odd. Prince William is so on guard that he can't show any affection in public at all or is there something else going on. The way he left her on her own at that boxing match, when she had on that silly dress that did nothing for her straight up and down figure, to go and hang with his boys all night was horrible. At present, she appears to be his doormat. Those pictures of her leaving Clarence House with her overnight bag was too much and tacky. I guess William finds it easier to have a steady bedwarmer at the ready as opposed to going the playboy route. Wise choice perhaps?
