Page 5 of 5 Casino Royale isn't the first Bond movie to be premiered before the Queen, the 2002 hit Die Another Day resulting in a meeting between Her Majesty and the Queen of Pop, Madonna, who sang the hugely-maligned theme tune.We can only hope Prince Philip, on meeting new leading man Daniel Craig and other cast members tonight, makes a better impression on the new Bond stars than he did at that last premiere. Then, Bond girl Halle Berry was less than impressed by the way in which the Duke chatted throughout the movie, revealing: "I couldn't tell what he was saying but I thought it was rather odd." Perhaps he was yet again complaining about the perennial problem of attending events such as this: as he says, every time he starts reading the official programme, the "bloody" lights go down! The good news for Philip is that Casino Royale does include a similar scene. The bad news for the Duke? It's Daniel Craig, rather than his glamorous co-star Caterina Murino, who emerges from the sea wearing little more than a smile!!! Comment on this article
